and OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring optimal oral health for our patients. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing dental cleanings, educating patients on oral hygiene practices, and assisting the dental team in delivering exceptional care. Office hours are Monday-Thursday.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations to assess the oral health of patients.
Review and maintain accurate documentation of patient medical records and treatment plans.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
Implement infection control protocols to maintain a safe and sterile environment.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide comprehensive patient care.
Utilize knowledge identify potential dental issues and recommend appropriate treatments.
Support dental assisting tasks as needed, contributing to the overall efficiency of the practice.
Stay updated on medical coding systems relevant to dental procedures.
Qualifications
Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
Strong knowledge of dental office procedures and protocols.
Experience in documentation review and maintaining accurate medical records.
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to treatment.
Understanding of infection control standards and practices within a dental setting.
Proficiency in medical coding systems related to dental services is a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining professionalism.
