Summary
A dental assistant is responsible for keeping the doctors on time and having all the needed supplies and equipment for each procedure. There are multiple opportunities for growth through continuing education, once you are grooved into the office.

At Alana K Macalik, DDS we create healthy, confident smiles while ensuring every patient has an amazing experience. We are a private, fee-for-service office that focuses more on patient care than on pleasing and catering to insurance companies. Our goal is to help patients avoid needing dental work through the act of prevention. We aim to be a pillar in the Arlington community through helping people with their dental health. We are looking to add another dental assistant to our strong team to allow us to grow and help more patients. As a dental team, we aim to have a fun and goal-driven environment.
Objectives
sterilization
Chairside assist
Room set-up, stocking rooms
Equipment maintenance
Radiology and OSHA compliance
scanning with iTero, alginate impressions and pouring
Digital charting and radiography using Nomad unit
Working with patients to get them the help in a timely manner.
monitor lab cases in and out
Communicate with specialist offices to coordinate patientââ¬â¢s treatment needs
Competencies
Must be able to communicate on the phone and in person
Must be able to document conversations that are had with patients and doctors
Education/Experience required:
must hold valid CPR card and dental assistant certificate in Texas
Must be curious and goal-oriented
