Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) – Mentorship Opportunity - Scholtz Dental - Quincy, IL

Scholtz Dental office in Muskegon is a family centered, full service general dental practice seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic RDH who is passionate about patient care and committed to continuous learning. Our office is looking to add a compassionate and motivated Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to our team. We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for mentorship with a retired RDH, who is eager to share their years of expertise and guide you in your professional growth. Whether you're new to the field or looking to enhance your skills, this is the perfect opportunity to learn from a seasoned professional in a nurturing environment. This role offers the chance to work alongside a retired RDH mentor who will provide guidance, advice, and hands-on coaching as you refine your skills, advance your clinical techniques, and develop a deeper understanding of patient management.
The position offers flexibility in choosing which days will work best. We are looking to hire an RDH either two or three day. The practice is open Monday through Thursday, see practice hours listed below.

Duties:

Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and preventive care
Assist with charting and maintaining accurate patient records
Administer fluoride treatments, sealants, and other preventive services
Work collaboratively with the dental team to provide top-quality patient care
Learn and grow with the mentorship of a retired RDH, receiving constructive feedback and support
Take and develop dental x-rays
Administer local anesthesia under the dentist's supervision
Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed

Experience:
The successful candidate should have the following skills and qualifications:

Proficiency in dental terminology and anatomy knowledge
Experience working in a dental office
Ability to work with patients of all ages

Requirements:

Valid state dental hygiene license
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent attention to detail

Hours:
Monday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Tuesday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Wednesday: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Thursday: 7:30am - 4:00pm
