Job Title: Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Job Type: Full-time
Location: Knoxville Pediatric Dentistry in Farragut
We are seeking an experienced Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a team player with excellent communication skills and a passion for patient care.
Responsibilities:

Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
Take and develop dental radiographs (x-rays)
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
Educate patients on oral hygiene and postoperative care
Perform expanded functions such as placing and finishing composite restorations, placing and removing rubber dams, and taking impressions for study models
Maintain accurate patient records

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited Expanded Functions Dental Assistant program
Current state certification and license to practice as an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dental office setting
Knowledge of dental procedures, instruments, and sterilization methods
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
