Job Description

*Job Overview*
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant with experience in restorative dentistry to join our pediatric team. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist in providing quality restorative and preventative oral healthcare to the pediatric population. The position will require this person to feel comfortable working with patients of special needs and under general anesthesia procedures.
Our office has therapy dogs on site. This is a service we are excited to extend to anxious patients. Employees will be working in an environment that is pet-friendly.
*Duties*
- Assist dentists during procedures by passing instruments, necessary materials, and anticipating the doctor's needs.
- Prepare patients for dental examinations and treatments
- Certified to take precise digital images.
- CPR certification
- Correctly enter patient records and reveiw treatment plans with parent of child
- Provide post-operative instructions prescribed by the dentist
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
*Requirements*
-Experience with general anethesia and comfortable working in a pediatric practice
- Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures
- Over 2 years of experience in a dental clinic setting
- Ability to perform vital signs monitoring
- Experience with 3D scanners for dental imaging is a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
