Job SummaryWe are seeking a bilingual (English/Spanish) dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to our dental team, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow while delivering exceptional patient care. This role requires proficiency in various dental systems and techniques, as well as a commitment to maintaining high standards of infection control and patient comfort.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
Take and record vital signs of patients prior to treatment.
Manage patient records using dental software systems such as Eaglesoft, Open Dental
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Schedule appointments and manage the front desk duties as needed, including handling patient inquiries.
Support prosthodontics procedures by preparing materials and assisting during treatments.
Ensure all equipment is properly sterilized and maintained according to safety regulations.
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred, with familiarity in using Open Dental or Dentrix software being a plus.
Knowledge of infection control practices and aseptic techniques is essential.
Ability to take vital signs accurately and provide basic patient care support.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records and appointments.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.
Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is advantageous but not mandatory.
