Job Description
At Westchester Gentle Dentistry, our mission is to create smiles through gentle and compassionate dental care.
We are looking for an additional full-time Dental Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate would be highly motivated, a team player, and caring individual who is dedicated to providing quality dental care to patients.
We have been proudly serving Westchester County for more than 25 years. At our state-of-the-art office, we offer general dentistry, as well as cosmetic and restorative dentistry services, including laser therapy, teeth whitening, Invisalign, and implants, using the latest dental procedures and technology. We are located in Port Chester, at the border between Rye Brook and Rye.
Duties and responsibilities include:
Assist the Dentist during a variety of treatment procedures
Prepare, organize, and sterilize instruments and other equipment
Develop infection control protocol based on OSHA and CDC standards
Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
Educate patients on practicing good oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health
Requirements:
Minimum 1 year of experience as a dental assistant
Experience as an oral surgery assistant is a plus
Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Experience using Dentrix
Experience taking digital X-rays
Excellent communication skills
Bilingual (Spanish & English) is a plus
