Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team and contribute to the oral health and well-being of our patients. The Dental Hygienist will be responsible for conducting patient screenings, performing teeth cleanings, and providing preventive dental care education. Additionally, you will assist in diagnosing and treating gum diseases and dental emergencies alongside the dentist. Ideal candidates will be patient-focused, detail-oriented, and committed to promoting good oral health for patients of all ages.
Responsibilities
Ensure patient comfort during their examinations.
Properly sterilize dental instruments in accordance with safety regulations.
Conduct initial mouth screenings and review oral health history.
Identify oral conditions such as gingivitis, caries, or periodontitis.
Perform teeth cleanings and apply preventive treatments like fluoride.
Educate patients of all ages on effective oral hygiene practices (e.g., brushing and flossing techniques).
Provide post-procedure instructions to patients following dental treatments.
Take X-rays and dental impressions as needed.
Assist dentists in determining appropriate treatments for oral diseases.
Maintain detailed documentation and patient charts.
Monitor and manage dental supplies inventory.
Skills
Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist or in a similar role.
Thorough knowledge of relevant health and safety regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
Proficiency in preparing and maintaining dental equipment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients.
A friendly and patient demeanor.
Strong attention to detail.
Physical stamina to meet the demands of the job.
Diploma in Dental Hygiene.
Valid license to practice as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: From $52.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 ââ¬â 32 per week
