Job Description
We are seeking a Dental Therapist to join our dedicated team at a public health-oriented 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Dental Center in Central Maine. This position offers the opportunity to provide compassionate, comprehensive dental care to underserved, underinsured, and vulnerable populations.
Position Details:
Employment Type: Full-time or Part-time
Location: Central Maine
Scope of Practice:
Deliver all services within the dental therapy scope of practice, contributing to the health and well-being of the community.
Perform oral health assessments, including periodic oral exams, limited oral exams, and complete periodontal assessments.
Maintain and update dental records while obtaining informed consent and reviewing patient records.
Supply and administer medications in the scope of Dental Therapist practice.
Participate in quality assurance programs and ensure high standards of care.
Exhibit strong communication skills and suitable bedside manner to foster positive patient interactions.

Qualifications:
Registration with the Maine Board of Dentistry as a Dental Therapist+
Licensed Dental Hygienist with a Maine Dental Therapist License Commitment to serving diverse patient populations, including underserved and vulnerable communities.
Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and organizational skills.
