Job Description
JOB Hours: Thursday evenings 4:00 pm ââ¬â 7:30 pm. Potential for on-call hours for Fridays 8 am ââ¬â 4:30 pm and other weekdays if desired.The Lincoln Lancaster County Health Department Dental Clinic is seeking a Professional Technical Worker to perform professional dental assisting roles and responsibilities serving a diverse population of children and adults. Must have graduated from an accredited dental assisting program or eligible for graduation from an accredited dental assisting program within next 3 months. Work involves responsibility for the performance of dental work in the delivery of dental assisting services per State of Nebraskaââ¬â¢s Dentistry Practice Act scope of practice for dental assistants.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from an accredited dental assisting program, eligible for graduation from an accredited dental assisting program within next 3 months; or any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the desirable knowledge, abilities and skills.Necessary Special Requirement: Satisfactory completion of a course study in dental radiology which is approved by the State of Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services and Bureau of Examining Boards.
