Job Description

We are looking for a dental assistant to join our one doctor private practice in Centennial. The ideal person is a great team player and enjoys working with a fun group. We are specifically looking for a dental assistant that will assist in both dental procedures as well as assisting for hygiene appointments.
Dental experience recommended but not required. We are happy and excited to train the right candidate. The right candidate will exude willingness to learn, excitement for the dental field, self-motivated to take on more responsibilities, and an outgoing personality that patients will enjoy and want to continue to build relationships. We have a strong focus on customer service and we are looking to add a team member that aligns with this.
You will help treat patients and promote good oral health practices. As a dental assistant, you should be reliable and able to build trust with patients of all ages. You should have deep knowledge of relevant health and safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases and anomalies. If you have a steady hand and great bedside manner, we’d like to meet you.
Responsibilities

Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
Sterilize dental instruments properly
Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
Take X-rays and Intraoral Photos
Assist dentists with selecting appropriate treatments for various diseases (including oral cancer)
Maintain documentation and charts on each patient

Skills

Proven experience as dental assistant or similar role is recommended but not required
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
A patient and friendly personality
High energy and Self-motivated to take on daily tasks
Willingness to learn – We are willing to train the right candidate
Dentrix experience preferred but not required

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
