We are seeking a dynamic Front Desk & Dental Assisting Floater to join our team. This role will allow you to rotate between front desk and dental assisting duties, providing a variety of responsibilities while contributing to a smooth, high-quality patient experience.
Job Overview:As a Front Desk & Dental Assistant Floater, you will be a vital member of our team, providing both administrative and clinical support. Your responsibilities will be split between assisting with front office tasks such as patient scheduling, check-ins, and insurance processing, as well as providing chairside assistance in our treatment rooms. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who thrives in a multi-tasking role and enjoys variety in their daily work.
Key Responsibilities:
Front Desk Duties:
Greet patients with a warm and welcoming attitude.
Answer phone calls, schedule patient appointments, and manage the appointment calendar.
Knowledge with Dentrix software
Verify and update patient insurance information and contact details.
Process patient payments and manage billing inquiries.
Maintain and organize patient records, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
Handle patient inquiries, providing clear communication and excellent customer service.
Dental Assisting Duties:
Assist the dentist during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
Take dental X-rays as needed and assist with diagnostic procedures.
Provide patient education on dental care, treatment plans, and post-procedure instructions.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment area.
Document patient charts and treatment notes in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in dental assisting and/or front office is preferred but not required.
Dental Radiology License
Dental Assistant certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus.
Knowledge of holistic dentistry is a plus, but not required.
Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
Friendly and patient-focused attitude with excellent customer service skills.
Familiarity with dental software and basic office equipment is a plus.
Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new tasks and responsibilities.
