Job Description
Job SummaryDr. Terry Cowgill is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our Brand New state of the art dental practice. Dr. Cowgill has been practicing in this area for 30 years. This new office is corporate-free and insurance PPO-free. We do accept dental insurance but are not "in-network". We utilize Cerec for same day crowns and have Cone Beam imaging for 3D diagnostics. We are fully computerized using Curve dental software. We will train on the specific systems but some dental knowledge and charside skills are a must.
We are a small office that works together and makes decisions together. We don't do drama.
Responsibilities
Assist dentists during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Take digital dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed. Will train on our Dexis system.
Record patient vital signs and maintain accurate patient records using Curve software.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
Manage patient scheduling, including appointments for follow-up visits or treatments.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment within the dental clinic.
Assist in the preparation of materials for prosthodontics procedures as required.
Stay updated on dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and advancements in dental technology, including 3D scanning.
Experience
Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not mandatory; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
Knowledge of dental clinic operations and procedures is beneficial.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team are essential.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
