Nelson & Bury Dentistry is a long-established patient centered, friendly dental office in Rapid City and we are looking for a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a reliable person who is organized, enthusiastic, and comfortable working with patients of all ages.
This person will help treat patients and promote good oral health practices. Job duties include but are not limited to conducting initial patient screenings, performing routine hygiene procedures, administering anesthetic, placing sealants and advising patients on oral health and preventative care. Responsibilities

Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
Sterilize dental instruments properly
Conduct initial oral screenings and verify health history
Perform routine hygiene procedures
Perform scaling and root planing procedures
Educate patients of all ages on proper oral hygiene
Review treatment plans and estimates with patients
Schedule patients for routine visits
Take X-rays
Place Sealants
Administer local anesthetic
Maintain documentation and charts on each patient

Skills

Proven experience in the dental field
Outstanding communication skills
A patient-friendly personality
Team Player
Attention to detail
Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program
Valid SD license to practice
