Oral Surgery Dental Assistant Responsibilities:ï‚· Under the direct supervision of the oral surgeon, assists with all surgicalprocedures and patients under local anesthesia, nitrous oxide, IV light/deepsedation, and general anesthesia.ï‚· Provides patients with pre/post-operative instructions regarding all procedures.ï‚· Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to; greeting and seatingpatients, taking vital signs, the taking/developing of radiographs, seeing thatoperatories are properly decontaminated and stocked with instruments, cleaningand sterilizing instruments after each procedure.
