The Smile Spa is a privately owned practice located in the heart of Baton Rouge, LA. with wonderful work hours. Monday - Thursday 7:00am - 3:00pm. We're looking for a full-time EDDA available 4 days out of the week to compliment our practice's demand.
As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting the dentist in providing quality dental care to patients. Your responsibilities will include assisting during procedures, preparing instruments and rooms, taking x-rays, educating patients, and maintaining accurate records. You should have proficiency in using dental software for all documentation, knowledge of all dentistry, familiarity with digital scanning, and strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills are also essential for effectively interacting with patients.
Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment- Take digital dental x-rays- Be proactive in preparing a dental operatory for all procedures.- Educate patients and give post-operative care- Maintain accurate documentation and patient records- Assist with patient scheduling and payments
Skills:- Proficient in using dental software (ASPRO) and scanners such as I tero and 3D printers- Knowledge of dental techniques and procedures- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week

Experience:

Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

EDDA CERTIFICATE and X-Ray Certification (Required)
