Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and sterile environment.
Duties
Assist the dentist during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and surgeries.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
Take digital X-rays as needed, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Utilize 3D scanners for accurate imaging and diagnostics.
Maintain patient records accurately using Dentrix.
Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Support the front office with scheduling appointments and managing patient flow when necessary.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional care in specialties such as prosthodontics and pediatric dentistry.
Skills
Proven experience in dental assisting within a clinical setting.
Knowledge of dental billing processes is a plus.
Familiarity with infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
Proficient in using 3D scanners and CEREC technologies.
Ability to take accurate X-rays while adhering to safety guidelines.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining patient records.
Excellent interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients and team members.
Experience or interest in specialized areas such as prosthodontics or pediatric dentistry is highly desirable.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $27.40 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week
