Duties
Cleanings: Remove plaque, tartar, and stains from teeth
X-rays: Take dental X-rays to help dentists see the teeth, roots, and surrounding structures
Screening: Screen patients for tooth decay, gum disease, and other oral health issues
Treatment plans: Create treatment plans for patients and document their care
Education: Teach patients how to brush and floss properly, and provide other oral hygiene information
Fluoride and sealants: Apply fluoride and sealants to help protect teeth
Scaling and root planing: Remove plaque and tartar from beneath the gums
Probing: Perform periodontal probing to assess gum health
Anesthesia: Administer anesthesia as needed for restorative or other treatments
Experience:
Good interpersonal skills to maintain effective rapport with patients, dentists, and coworkers
Ability to work independently
Organizational skills - Prioritizes and plans work activities; Uses time efficiently
Be an active participant in team meetings
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60.00 - $70.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 â 40 per week
