Our office is fully OSHA-compliant, ensuring the highest safety and health standards while empowering you to deliver top-notch dental care.
**What You Can Expect:**
As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in providing thoughtful, high-quality hygiene care that not only addresses patients' immediate oral health needs but also helps them understand the long-term importance of a healthy smile. You'll utilize advanced hygiene techniques such as thorough oral health assessments, sealant and fluoride applications, accurate impressions, and digital radiographs. Beyond technical excellence, we emphasize educating patients on preventive care and establishing strong, trusting relationships to encourage continued care.
**Role Responsibilities:**
- Provide superior patient care and make the patient’s health your top priority.
- Deliver exceptional customer service and foster a welcoming, comfortable atmosphere.
- Practice servant leadership, setting a positive example for the team and collaborating with colleagues to create an exceptional patient experience.
- Stay on schedule and help manage office patient flow, minimizing wait times while providing flexible care for all patients.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, disease prevention, and the procedures offered, establishing a trusted care relationship.
- Screen and assess oral health conditions for new and recall patients.
- Review and document patient health history, medications, and their impact on oral health.
- Perform clinical hygiene tasks such as diagnostic radiographs, blood pressure checks, adult/child prophylaxis, non-surgical periodontal therapy, and co-assess potential restorative treatments with the doctor.
- Conduct periodontal charting and accurately enter hygiene and doctor treatment plans into patient charts.
- Present treatment plans and use patient education materials to encourage case acceptance.
- Teach patients effective oral hygiene strategies like proper brushing, flossing, and nutritional counseling.
- Offer and apply fluoride treatments and sealants to all patients as appropriate.
- Perform coronal polishing, place locally applied antimicrobials, and use intraoral cameras to support diagnosis and education.
- Screen for oral cancer and collaborate on comprehensive care with the dental team.
- Take alginate impressions and fabricate whitening trays when needed.
- Maintain accurate, detailed, and timely patient records in accordance with practice guidelines.
- Follow OSHA guidelines for operatory preparation and cleanliness before each appointment.
- Manage hygiene supplies and ensure the smooth functioning of your workspace.
- Be a team player by assisting other staff members, including helping at the front desk or supporting general office tasks during downtime.
