Job Description

Our office in Portage Park is looking for a part-time hygienist. One day a week, eiter Monday or Tuesday 10am-6pm.
Responsibilities

Welcome patients in the dental office
Steinationrilize dental instruments properly
Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
Take X-rays & Intra Oral Pictures
Communicate with dentist about your recommended hygiene plan
Maintain documentation and charts on each patient
Schedule appointments

Skills

Understanding of health & safety regulations, HIPPA & OSHA
Good computer skills including dental software experience
Excellent communication and people skills, our patients like to be personable
Attention to detail
Well-organized and reliable
Dental Hygienist license in good standing and active
Additional certification or training: ( CPR, iTero familiarity)

Hours:
Either Monday or Tuesday 10am-6pm
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $40.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 per week
