Job Description
*Job Summary*
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our established dental practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality dental care to patients, focusing on preventive oral health and hygiene. This role requires a compassionate individual who can effectively communicate with patients of all ages, including children, and work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures including: cleaning teeth, taking x-rays, and applying fluoride treatments
- Perform scaling and root planning
-Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
-Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
-Identify conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
- Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
- Document patient care and treatment plans accurately in electronic health records via Dentrix Ascend
Qualifications:
- Registered Dental Hygienist certification
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and dental terminology
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently AND with dental assistants
