We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our friendly dental practice. We are looking for someone teach-able with a positive attitude to assist the dentist during procedures. Candidates should possess an understanding of dental assisting practices, infection control protocols, and excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
*Duties*
- Assist the dentist during various dental procedures.
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Take and record vital signs of patients as necessary.
- Manage patient records while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Operate dental systems, including 3D scanners for imaging purposes.
- Schedule appointments and manage the front desk duties as needed, including acting as a dental receptionist when required.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to enhance patient comfort and safety.
*Requirements*
- Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and infection control practices is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in using dental systems and technology, including 3D scanners, is a plus.
- Ability to take vital signs accurately and efficiently.
- A compassionate approach towards patient care, especially with children and the elderly.
- Certification in Dental Assisting or relevant qualifications is an advantage but not required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 per week
Schedule:

8 hour shift
Monday to Friday
No nights

Experience:

Dental assisting: 1 year (Preferred)
HIPAA: 1 year (Required)
