We are seeking a full-time Expanded Functions Dental Assistant to join our beautiful, state of the art general dental practice in Benton, TN. Our ideal candidate is a dynamic self-starter who enjoys working with others, is patient care focused, flourishes in a fast-paced environment and will make an immediate impact on the practice.
As an RDA or EFDA, you will have the opportunity to work side by side with our talented team of dentists providing a holistic approach to treating dental problems by focusing on the entire person which is different than traditional dentistry. Candidates must have their EFDA license, be comfortable and confident in dental assisting and have a minimum of 3 years experience, with more years a plus.

This is a full-time position with working hours Monday-Thursday 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Responsibilities:
Provide a welcoming, soothing and customer service focused experience for patients.
Prepare patients for treatment or checkups ensuring their comfort.
Take diagnostic x-rays using standard dental radiographic equipment.
Assist the Dentist with a high level of partnership through four handed dentistry.
Arrive prepared for each day and review patient charts for morning huddle.
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures when needed.
Verify patient health history (basic health review, medications, understanding impact with dentistry) and document appropriately in patientââ¬â¢s chart.
Manage lab cases and schedule patients as needed.
Assist with other office duties as requested or needed.
Skills:
Proven experience as Dental Assistant MUST HAVE 3+ YEARS EXPERIENCE.
Proof of EFDA License or Registered Dental Assistance certification.
Open to cross training to support our teamwork focused office approach.
Effective time management skills and able to support a steady flow in Dr's schedule.
Able to be flexible and multi-task to meet the needs of a busy schedule.
Must have outstanding communication and customer service skills.
Welcoming and patient personality with an ability to build rapport with others easily.
Great attention to detail and follow through.
Dental terminology knowledge and ability to educate patients regarding procedures.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $29.00 - $34.00 per hour
