Job Description
We are looking for a part-time Team Member to join our locally-owned specialty dental practice. The position is initially part-time with the goal to be full-time early in 2025 with the retirement of a long-time employee. We are a very small, one doctor practice with three team members who work together in providing superior patient-focused care in an environment that embodies teamwork, respect, and excellence. The ideal candidate will predominantly be fulfilling the role of dental assistant and must be willing to fulfill basic administrative responsibilities of the front desk including answering telephones, scheduling appointments, and effectively communicating with our patients and referring offices.
Responsibilities:
Greet and prepare patients for treatment, including taking dental x-rays and CBCT scans
Assisting the doctor during evaluations, root canals and surgical procedures
Provide post operative instructions
Set-up, breakdown, disinfect and sterilize treatment rooms and dental instruments
Maintain strict infection control, OSHA and HIPPA compliance
Assist in maintaining dental supply inventory
Assist in maintaining dental equipment
General office cleaning duties as shared by all team members
Qualifications:
Dental radiology certification (required)
CPR certification (required)
Dental assisting experience (preferred)
Knowledge of endodontic procedures and terminology
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Professional telephone skills
Computer efficiency
Job Type: Part-time
Expected hours: Wednesday, Thursday and Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm (minimum 24 hours per week)
Hours will become four days per week with the addition of Mondays starting in early spring 2025 (32 hours per week).
Pay range: $25-27.00/hr.
