Job Description
Job descriptionWe are looking for a dental assistant for our dental implant center. We are a busy prosthodontic practice with a focus on patients already without teeth and those about to lose their remaining teeth. We primarily do dentures, overdentures, and implant-supported teeth (All-On-4), but also still do full mouth rehabs, partial dentures, and esthetic cases. We have a surgical and restorative team.
As we add another dental assistant, your role is to support both of those teams--depending on who is most in need of help. Therefore, you need to be comfortable assisting in a wide variety of procedures, including large surgeries. If you are not okay with seeing a fully flapped ridge while teeth are being extracted, bone recontoured (ground on), and implants placed before grafting and suturing, then this is not a job to consider. It is a must and we have seen many not cut out for it.
ResponsibilitiesSharing equally in all procedures and all other basic tasks with the other 4 assistants:- Clean operatories after appointments are done- Set up operatories for the next patient- Sterilize the dirty equipment and put it where it goes- Help keep the sterile room clean and organized- Help with taking radiographs- Help with records (impressions, photos, etc.)- Assist in any restorative or surgical procedure- Know how to use the latest technologies (we will teach this, but need you to pick up on it quickly and get good at it)- Maintain good (and timely) clinical notes

There will be a 90-day probationary period in which to assess how well you are doing in the role and if you are meeting certain goals.
About our practiceWe are three prosthodontists (specialists in the dental field) who have focused our practice on dental implants, specifically full arch, implant-supported restorations (i.e. All-On-4). In addition, we do challenging full mouth rehabilitations and esthetically demanding cases. We have an amazing team who work well together and will fight like mad to keep this. Our practice also has a lab that does all of the lab work for our practice in addition to clients throughout the country. As specialists in full arch treatment, we maintain a very high level of care, arguably one of the best clinics in the country for this type of treatment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
