Our busy dental practice is seeking an exceptional Dental Hygienist for an opportunity to join our dedicated team.
Who We Are
We are a busy general dentistry seeing many families in the area. We are well-established with 2 highly-trained young doctors. We have a strong reputation in the community and maintaining this is important to us. Our practice includes surgery, ortho, and facial esthetics in addition to a wide-array of general denistry procedures. We typically refer out endodontics.
Pay is per day and we generally book 8-9 patients each day. We have somewhat flexible starting and ending times. We are generally booked out for hygiene 5-6 months in advance and our patients are used to excellent care and great rapport.
Who We're Looking For
An energetic, highly motivated, and organized individual who is willing to work well with others in general and especially other hygienists. We are a small but busy office that needs a high level of orginization and strong communication skills to maintain the flow of our office.
Responsibilities
- New patient and recall prophies
- Diagnosing and treating scaling and root planing procedures
- Follow-up treatment and evaluation for SCRP
- Seating and dismissing patients on your schedule
- Discussing planned/needed treatment with front desk
- Reviewing schedule and determining need for xrays and exams
- Good communication skills with staff, doctors, and other hygienists
- Obtaining xrays
- Taking intra-oral photos of areas of concern
- Assist doctor with hygiene exams
- Detail oriented in patient care and reporting findings to doctor
- Assisting with sterlization
- Break-down and set-up of your own room
- Maintaining proper use of equipment and reporting needed supplies
