Job Description: We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for dental health and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care. You will play a crucial role in the overall experience of our patients, from routine cleanings to more complex procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial dental assessments and cleanings
- Take and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays)
- Administer local anesthetic
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and preventative care
- Assist with the development and implementation of personalized treatment plans
- Provide post-operative care and patient instructions
- Maintain accurate patient records and charts
- Work collaboratively with the dental team to ensure the highest standard of care
- Manage patient anxiety and create a calm and welcoming environment
Qualifications:
- Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of Florida
- Certification in dental radiography
- Certification to Administer local anesthetic
- Able to work at both locations. Palm Coast and St. Augustine
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage patient concerns and create a supportive atmosphere
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Experience with dental software and patient management systems
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with patients who have dental anxiety
- Knowledge of advanced periodontal therapies and techniques
- Bilingual skills are a plus
