We are a boutique modern dental startup office in Koreatown Los Angeles. We are looking for a dental assistant to join our fun team. This position will initially be Mondays-Thursdays. We are looking for a dental assistant who is willing to grow with the practice- someone who is open to potentially working Fridays/ Saturdays in the future. Our team is cross- trained. We would like someone who can learn both front office and back office tasks. Since we are a startup, you will have the unique opportunity to help grow and build the office. Responsibilities:
- Prepare patient treatment rooms
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments
- Select and set up instruments, equipment, and material needed
- Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques
- Take dental x-rays
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Scan patients with Itero
- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures
- Schedule appointments and assist with payment procedures
- Contribute to social media marketing
Qualifications:
● Dental assisting: 2-3 years (preferred), 1 year minimum required
License/Certification:
● Dental Assisting Certification (required)
● X-Ray Certification (required)
● American Heart Association or American Red Cross course in Basic Life Support (required)
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour DOE
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
