Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care, including taking vital signs, preparing patients for procedures, and providing oral hygiene instructions.- Operate dental equipment, including X-ray machines, and maintain a clean and organized dental environment.- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to HIPAA regulations.- Assist with front office tasks, such as scheduling appointments and handling patient billing.- Develop and maintain proficiency in dental assisting software, including Eaglesoft and Epic.- Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care and maintain infection control protocols.- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with the latest dental procedures and technologies.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.- Completion of a dental assisting program or equivalent experience.- Current certification in dental assisting or willingness to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.- Proficiency in general dentistry and dental assisting techniques.- Knowledge of medical terminology and dental terminology.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.- Familiarity with Eaglesoft and Epic dental software.- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized dental environment and adhering to infection control protocols.- Ability to work collaboratively with a team and provide exceptional patient care.
