We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dental team. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisting dentists with various dental procedures, maintaining patient records, and adhering to strict infection control protocols. **Responsibilities**
- Assist dentists and hygienists during dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Prepare patients for treatment by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and administering local anesthesia as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories, dental charts, and treatment plans.
- Utilize a variety of dental equipment, including 3D scanners, to support dental care.
- Practice infection control protocols to prevent the spread of disease and maintain a clean and hygienic environment.
- Participate in four-handed dentistry, working closely with the dentist and hygienist to ensure seamless care.
- Familiarize yourself with medical terminology and dental software, including Eaglesoft.
- Perform general dentistry duties, such as taking impressions and making alginate casts.
- Maintain a positive and supportive attitude, contributing to a positive team environment.
**Experience**
- Previous experience as a dental assistant is highly desirable, but we also welcome candidates with relevant training or certifications. Radiology certification is a must.
- Knowledge of medical records and dental software is necessary.
- Experience in endodontics is a plus.
- Proven experience in infection control and adherence to OSHA guidelines.
- Familiarity with 3D scanners and other dental equipment is beneficial.
- Experience in a dental clinic environment is necessary.
**Skills**
- Proficiency in assisting with various dental procedures, including general dentistry and endodontics.
- Experience with medical records and dental software, including Eaglesoft.
- Strong understanding of infection control protocols and OSHA guidelines.
- Familiarity with 3D scanners and other dental equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing patient care and teamwork.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and dental hygiene practices.
- Experience in a dental clinic environment, with a focus on providing excellent patient care.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
