Job Description
**Overview:** We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. As a key member of our practice, you will play a vital role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality dental care to our patients. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of patient care. **Responsibilities:** - Support dental hygienists and dentists during patient exams, cleanings, and other procedures. - Assist with patient preparation, including cleaning and disinfecting equipment. - Take and develop dental x-rays, and assist with other dental imaging procedures. - Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient treatments and medications. - Assist with medical documentation, including billing and insurance claims. - Participate in infection control measures, adhering to HIPAA regulations. - Utilize dental assisting software, including Epic and other relevant medical imaging systems. - Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care and maintain a positive and supportive work environment. - Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in dental technology, including 3D scanners. - Perform other related duties as assigned by the dental team. **Skills:** - Strong knowledge of dental assisting techniques and procedures. - Proficiency in dental terminology and medical terminology. - Experience with medical coding and medical documentation. - Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and medical imaging systems, including Epic. - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks as needed. - Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to infection control protocols. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - A strong desire to learn and grow with our dental practice.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.24 - $19.96 per hour
Expected hours: 28 per week
