Job Description
Orthodontic Assistant
Duties:- Assist the orthodontist in providing quality dental care to patients- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments- Take and upload X-rays as directed by the orthodontist
-Taken and upload dental photos as directed by the orthodontist- Provide chairside assistance during orthodontic procedures- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
-Strong written and verbal communication
-Organization and the ability to multitask to complete a wide variety of tasks
-Flexibility to help them adjust to new tasks should a company or office needs change
-Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively with all employees
-Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and correctly
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year experience as a dental assistant, preferably in orthodontics- Proficiency in dental assisting techniques and procedures- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus
-High school diploma or equivalent degree is required
-Cloud 9 software experience is a plus
-Spanish speaking is a plus
-Strong written and communication skills when speaking with patients and teams
-Strong knowledge of dental procedures
-Proficient in English with strong verbal and written communication skills.
