Overview:
We are a Periodontal practice seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our team. We are located on Kings Highway and East 13th Street conveniently off the B & Q line. The position is for one day a week Wednesdays from 9-5. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for providing exceptional oral care to our patients.
Duties:
- Conduct thorough dental examinations and take X-rays as necessary to assess patient oral health.- Provide personalized dental hygiene treatments, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments.- Utilize infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients.- Develop and maintain patient treatment plans, communicating with dentists and other healthcare professionals as needed.- Maintain a thorough knowledge of dental hygiene techniques, materials, and procedures.- Stay up-to-date with the latest dental hygiene practices and techniques through ongoing education and training.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of dental hygiene principles- Experience with perio charting and patient assessment.- Proficiency with dental clinic software, including Dentrix.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining infection control standards.- Compassion and empathy for patients, with a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
