Job Description
Responsibilities:- Assist the dentist during dental procedures- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments- Take and develop dental x-rays- Provide patient education on oral hygiene and post-operative care- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate medical records- Assist with dental lab tasks, including digital impressions and Cerec crown fabrication- Schedule patient appointments and manage patient flow- Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment
Qualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program- X-ray certification required- Proficiency in medical documentation and electronic health record systems (e.g., Epic)- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and coding (e.g., CDT codes)- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Ability to work well in a team environment
