**Job Overview:** We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dentists in delivering high-quality dental services. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and contribute to the well-being of our patients. **Responsibilities:** - Assist dentists and hygienists during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient clinical experience. - Maintain accurate and organized patient records, including medical and dental histories. - Utilize medical terminology to effectively communicate with patients and provide them with necessary instructions. - Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and manage dental supplies. - Provide pediatric dental care, ensuring that all patients, including children, feel comfortable and at ease. - Operate medical imaging equipment, such as X-ray machines, and assist with dental imaging procedures. - Assist with medical coding and documentation, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. - Work closely with the dental receptionist to coordinate patient appointments, manage patient flow, and ensure a seamless patient experience. - Maintain a clean and organized dental environment, adhering to the highest standards of infection control and sterilization. - Assist with administrative tasks, such as scheduling and billing, as needed. **Requirements:** - Experience in four-handed dentistry, with a strong understanding of dental assisting procedures. - Familiarity with medical terminology and the ability to learn and apply dental terminology. - Knowledge of medical coding and documentation procedures, including Epic systems. - A passion for pediatric dentistry and the ability to work effectively with children. - Proficiency in medical imaging procedures and equipment. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. - High school diploma or equivalent required; dental assisting certification or degree preferred. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a high level of attention to detail. - Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean working environment, adhering to all relevant infection control and sterilization protocols.
