**Position Overview:**
We’re seeking a motivated Pediatric Dental Assistant who thrives in a dynamic and rewarding environment. In this role, you will support our pediatric dentists and contribute to creating a welcoming and stress-free atmosphere for our young patients and their families.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assist the pediatric dentist during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
- Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment in accordance with infection control protocols.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) with precision.
- Provide gentle, reassuring chairside assistance to children and their parents.
- Educate patients and their families about oral health care and preventative measures.
- Manage patient records, including updating and maintaining accurate information.
- Ensure the dental operatory is clean, organized, and fully stocked.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, and handle basic administrative tasks.
**Qualifications:**
- Registered Dental Assistant (CDA) or equivalent certification preferred.
- Previous experience as a dental assistant, preferably in a pediatric or family dental office.
- Strong communication skills with a knack for making children feel at ease.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic understanding of dental procedures and terminology.
- Proficiency with dental software and X-ray equipment.
