THE TYPE OF EXPANDED DUTY DENTAL ASSISTANT LEAD WE'RE LOOKING FOR
EDDA certification
Valid driver's license
3+ years of general dental assisting experience
2+ years of experience in oral surgery, periodontal, or surgical assisting
High proficiency with CEREC, 3D printers, CBCT, Itero Scanning, and ICam
Strong experience in dental implant or surgery inventory management and placing orders
Proven skills in EDDA/assistant management, scheduling, and coaching
Ability to handle emergency situations effectively and maintain sterile environments
Spanish fluency
Dental Assistant (RDA) and x-ray certification are a plus!
WHAT IT'S LIKE TO BE OUR EXPANDED DUTY DENTAL ASSISTANT LEAD
You will work Monday to Friday, between 8 AM to 5 PM. The position is full- or part-time and requires a minimum commitment of 3 days per week, with some weeks extending to 4 days. Flexibility is key, and occasional adjustments may be necessary to meet the needs of our patients.
As a full- or part-time Expanded Duty Dental Assistant Lead, you will begin your day preparing the surgical and general dentistry inventory, ensuring all supplies are well-stocked and ready for use. You will greet patients with a smile, making them feel comfortable and at ease as you assist during various procedures, including implant and cosmetic surgeries. Your role will involve taking x-rays, meticulously maintaining accurate records, and ensuring the clinical area remains clean and sterile according to health and safety protocols. You will lead and coach the dentistry assistant team, fostering a collaborative and supportive environment. You will provide clear instructions and empathetic care, creating positive patient relations and anticipating their needs. In emergency situations, you will react swiftly and confidently, utilizing emergency equipment as necessary.
