Job Description
Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled Dental Assistant to join our Pediatric Dental team. The ideal candidate will have experience in dental clinics and possess knowledge of various dental procedures and terminology. Candidate must be child friendly.
Responsibilities- Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures- Prepare patients for dental work- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment- Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures- Take and develop dental x-rays (if certified)- Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures- Perform various office tasks as needed
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Open Dental software is a plus- Familiarity with infection control procedures- Experience as a dental receptionist is advantageous- Proficiency in four-handed dentistry techniques- Understanding of medical documentation, imaging, terminology, and records- Strong background in general dentistry practices
