Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist the dental team in providing quality oral healthcare with a focus on patient comfort and satisfaction.
*Responsibilities*
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Sterilize dental instruments and equipment following OSHA guidelines
- Assist dentists during procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Maintain accurate patient records
- Schedule patient appointments
*Qualifications*
- Completion of an accredited dental assisting program
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and medical coding
- Proficiency in infection control protocols
- Ability to take vital signs accurately
- Familiarity with prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry
- Strong anatomy knowledge
- Experience working in a dental clinic is a plus
