Job Description
We are looking to hire a Dental Hygienist. Your schedule would be Monday-Thursday 8 am to 5:15 pm. We are looking for someone passionate about what they do, wanting to work together with the Doctor & team to treat patients and promote good oral health practices. Our ideal candidate will love patients of all ages, have deep knowledge of relevant health & safety rules and a good eye for oral diseases & anomalies. If you have a steady hand, a big heart and great chairside manner, we'd like to meet you. One year of dental hygiene is preferred, but open to the right new graduate.
RESPONSIBILITIES (not limited to)
Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible before their examination
Conduct initial mouth screenings and check oral health history
Identify conditions like gingivitis or periodontitis
Clean and help protect patients' teeth (e.g. remove plaque or apply fluoride)
Educate patients of all ages on proper teeth care (by demonstrating, for example, good brushing techniques)
Take X-rays
Maintain documentation and records on each patient
Monitor supplies
SKILLS -
Proven experience as Dental Hygienist, preferably 1 year experience
In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g. HIPAA)
Experience in preparing and maintaining dental equipment
Outstanding communication skills
A patient and friendly personality
Attention to detail
Valid TX hygienist license
