Job Description

Duties:
- Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth- Take and develop dental x-rays- Assess patients' oral health and provide appropriate treatment recommendations- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide oral health instructions- Document patient treatment plans and progress in Dentrix- Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile working environment- Perform medical coding for dental procedures using appropriate coding systems such as Epic
Qualifications:
- Valid dental hygiene license in Maryland- Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program- Proficiency in using Dentrix- Knowledge of medical coding systems for billing and insurance purposes- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate and interact with patients- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate patient records- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals

Pay: $60.00 - $75.00 per hour
Expected hours: 21 – 40 per week
