OverviewPart-time hygienist for a Periodontal Practice in the Woodlands, Texas. Looking for a friendly, yet thorough, team member who is available on Tuesdays & Wednesdays, 8:30-4:30 (hours are flexible). This position entails a lot of educating post-operative patients on ideal home care regimens and monitoring the status of a patient's Periodontal Disease status while informing them of possible treatments available to improve the health of their smile. We are a small practice that enjoys providing quality care in a warm & friendly environment.
Hourly pay ranging $45-$50 with benefits including a 401K.
Responsibilities- Conduct patient assessments and review medical history- Perform dental cleanings and assist with procedures under the dentist's supervision- Take and develop dental x-rays- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care- Maintain accurate patient records using MacPractice software- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and infection control protocols- Monitor vital signs during patient treatment
Skills- Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control- Experience working in a dental clinic environment- Familiarity with MacPractice- Knowledge of Periodontal procedures- Ability to perform patient assessments and take vital signs- Competence in medical imaging techniques
Qualifications- Proficiency in aseptic technique and vital signs monitoring- Knowledge of dental terminology, HIPAA, and infection control- Strong background in general dentistry and anatomy knowledge
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 12 – 16 per week
