Job Description
OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our dynamic periodontal practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our team and ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow. This position requires a strong understanding of working in dental office, excellent communication skills, and the ability to provide exceptional patient care in a friendly environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the doctor during various procedures, including examinations, cleanings, and periodontal treatments.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment in compliance with safety protocols.
Maintain accurate medical records and ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations.
Take and develop X-rays as needed, ensuring proper techniques are followed.
Record vital signs and patient information accurately.
Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Support the front office with administrative tasks as required.
Stay updated on advancements in dental technology and procedures.
Qualifications
Must have X-ray license and be able to take consistent diagnostic X-rays and record vital signs accurately.
Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on patient care and comfort.
Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Previous experience in dental assisting is preferred; familiarity with Eaglesoft is a plus.
