This is a great opportunity for a bright, enthusiastic dental assistant who loves working with children and as part of an amazing, talented team of assistants.
Our office is privately owned and we pride ourselves on providing service that is compassionate, genuine and delivered with a personal touch. Understanding patient needs, acknowledgement of patient milestones and awareness that no two patients are the same are the cornerstones of our practice philosophy.
We are looking primarily for a chairside assistant who has experience with or is willing to learn front office duties.
The key functions of the chair side assistant are:

Assist Dentist and Hygienist with all procedures
Educating patients and parents with information regarding oral health and any treatment that may be needed
Break down and set up patient care areas
Take digital x-rays
Coronal polish
Input accurate detailed notes into dentrix software
Have knowledge/experience with oral conscious sedation procedures and medications
Maintain instruments and working areas in accordance with OSHA guidelines

Key front office responsibilities would include:

Warmly greet patients and visitors to the practice in a polite and professional manner
Provide courtesy calls to confirm patient appointments and provide instructions regarding upcoming appointments
Help schedule patients and maintain an efficient and productive schedule
Handle incoming telephone calls in a courteous and professional manner

2 years of pediatric dental assisting experience preferred
X-Ray certified, Coronal Polish certified (preferred)
Experience using Dentrix is a bonus

This is a full time time position 7 am – 5 pm Monday through Thursday. Salary is dependent on your level of expertise and skill set!
