REGISTERED DENTAL HYGIENIST (RDH)
Prior dental office experience preferred
We are looking for a spirited hygienist that is passionate about oral health and overall health to join our team. The position is flexible between one half day per week up to 2 days per week. We are a general dental office, located on upper Market Street between the Castro and Duboce Triangle

-- Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities --

patient screening procedures; such as assessment of oral health conditions, review of the health history, oral cancer screening, head and neck inspection, dental and periodontal charting, and taking blood pressure and pulse
taking digital dental radiographs (x-rays) and intraoral photos
removing calculus and plaque (hard and soft deposits) and staining from all surfaces of the teeth
applying preventive materials to the teeth (e.g. fluorides, varnishes)
teaching patients appropriate oral hygiene strategies to maintain oral health;
counseling patients about good nutrition and its impact on oral health
documentation of procedures and scheduling follow-up/re-care appointments
