Our outstanding dental practice is seeking an all-star insurance coordinator for an opportunity to join our dedicated team.
Who We Are
Our practice is a modern Fee For Service boutique style office. It is a single dentist practice - Dr. Steve Schiffenhaus - who is also the owner. Dr. Schiffenhaus is world reknowned lecturer and founder of The BAARD Institute where he offers training Online & In Person at the office. The type of dentistry Dr. Schiffenhaus provides is minimally invasive, adhesive, biomimetic, & esthetic dentistry. It is a very patient centered practice with the emphasis on quality of care and long term results for patients. While we perform root canals & dental implant surgery - the main goals in the practice is to help the patients avoid these procedures and keep their natural teeth for as long as possible. Everyone is the office is fun, compassionate, & team oriented. In short, we love what we do and want to work with people that feel the same.

Who We're Looking For
A determined self-starter with excellent time management skills, a team player, with experience in building insurance plans in Dentrix, verifying policies, sending claims with attachments and following up on the claims remittance process. Additionally, please be familiar with the Dentrix software, as this is what is currently in use. Submit all resumes (if not listed on Princess) to schiffenhausdmd@gmail.com
Responsibilities
- Verify that the patient is eligible with their current insurance (using websites, live representative, Dental Exchange or fax backs).
- In the appointment box, alert the team of any changes to the insurance plan that they may need to know. (Example – has no exams or x-ray benefits remaining).
- Communicate with the team if the patient is not eligible for any of the services they are scheduled for, additionally, inform the patient of the fee they will incur.
- Call insurance and verify eligibility, using the insurance eligibility form. (emergency & new patients only, do not leave any areas blank on eligibility form, re-care patients only need a fax back of eligibility)
- In the appointment box, alert the team of any changes to the insurance plan that they may need to know. (Example – has no exams or x-ray benefits
- Make adjustments to reflect any benefits used or met.
- Schedule patient appointments, whilst providing outstanding customer service, and adhering to HIPAA.
- Send batched insurance claims with the appropriate attachments and narratives and follow up on the claims remittance process, till completion.
- Participate in the morning huddle as the administrative portion of the meeting, offering solutions and figures to review.
