Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at a busy dental clinic. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assisting with dental procedures, and patient care. The Dental Assistant will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic and provide exceptional support to our dentist.
Duties:
- Assist dentist with patient care, including preparing treatment rooms, and providing emotional support to patients.- Prepare dental equipment and instruments for procedures, maintaining cleanliness and adhering to aseptic techniques.- Assist with dental procedures, including radiographs, fillings, and extractions, under the supervision of licensed professionals.- Operate dental equipment, such as X-ray machines, and ensure proper calibration and maintenance.- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient charts and dental terminologies.- Perform medical coding and documentation as needed.- Participate in infection control and sterilization procedures to maintain a safe and healthy environment for patients.- Collaborate with other members of the dental team to provide exceptional patient care and maintain a positive and supportive work environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.- Completion of a dental assisting program or relevant experience.- Current certification or eligibility to obtain certification as a Dental Assistant.- Strong knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy.- Experience with X-ray equipment and ability to operate radiographs.- Ability to maintain aseptic technique and ensure proper infection control measures are in place.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28 – 33 per week
