Job Description
Job SummaryWe are seeking a Certified Dental Assistant to join our team at a reputable dental clinic. The ideal candidate will assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures and help provide quality patient care.
Duties- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatment procedures- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment- Take vital signs and patient information- Perform 4-handed dentistry techniques efficiently- Utilize 3D scanners such as iTero for an accurate dental impressions- Maintain infection control protocols in accordance with OSHA guidelines- Manage patient records using Open Dental software- Provide support as a dental receptionist when needed
Qualifications- Certification or diploma from an accredited dental assistant program
- Must have a dental radiology license by the State of New Mexico- Proficiency in general dentistry procedures- Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology- Experience with Open Dental or similar dental practice management software- Familiarity with 4-handed dentistry techniques- Ability to take accurate vital signs and patient information- Strong understanding of infection control practices in a dental setting
