Job Summary:
We are seeking a full-time, bilingual (English/Spanish) Dental Assistant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be professional, compassionate, and eager to help our patients achieve optimal oral health. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the dentist, managing patient care, and ensuring that our office runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including taking and developing X-rays.
Prepare patients for dental procedures by making them comfortable and providing reassurance.
Communicate effectively with patients in both English and Spanish to ensure they understand their treatment plans and post-treatment care instructions.
Sterilize and disinfect instruments, setup instrument trays, prepare materials, and assist the dentist during procedures.
Record patientsââ¬â¢ medical history, vital signs, and treatment information in their records.
Educate patients on oral hygiene, plaque control, and postoperative instructions.
Manage patient appointments, including scheduling, confirmations, and follow-ups.
Ensure the dental office is stocked with necessary supplies and that equipment is well-maintained.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment in the dental office.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Dental Assistant certification from an accredited program preferred.
X-ray certification is required.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is required.
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred but not required.
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
