Minimum Qualifications:
Radiation Safety Certification (able to take x-rays)
2+ Years in a Customer facing role
1+ Years Computer Administrative skills
Completed a dental assisting program or equivalent experience
High School Diploma or equivalent
Current CPR (BLS) certification
Able to type 60 wpm
Preferred Qualifications:
Administrative (e.g. Personal Assistant) experience
Phone Receptionist experience
Health Insurance experience
Dental Office experience
Open Dental software experience
Food Industry experience

As a member of our small Dental office in the Clairemont area of San Diego, CA you will be a part of a close-knit team committed to providing personalized dental care in a warm and welcoming environment. We seamlessly blend administrative responsibilities with hands-on dental assistance. Balancing front office duties, appointment scheduling, and patient interactions while actively contributing to dental procedures is a normal day for our friendly team.In this role, youââ¬â¢ll be the front-most facing member of our team to our patients while also relying on your dental assisting background to handle various Dental Office situations. Your ability to be responsive and attentive no matter the medium (phone call, text, email) is your foremost skill. You can read the room to understand what situations require more discretion and you know how to be polite but firm. You can extract key priorities from your multitude of tasks and know how to balance a large list of to-do items. You are a self-starter and have a learnerââ¬â¢s attitude; you like finding small efficiencies and presenting solutions as well as feedback on how to improve. When the situation calls for it, you will put back on your dental assisting hat because you are self-motivated and willing to help where needed.
Responsibilities:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on patient management software
Communication and Follow Up with Insurance companies
Phone calls with Patients for appointment coordination
Optimizing Patient scheduling
Professional correspondence with Health Professionals
Checking in Patients
Explaining insurance and benefits to Patients
Collecting payment from Patients
Navigating Insurance websites
Scanning, printing, faxing
Opening Office Procedures
Setting up and breaking down rooms
Instrument Sterilization
Chairside dental assisting (when needed)
Tentative Schedule:
8:30-5PM (M-Th)
9-1PM (every other Fri)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 28 ââ¬â 32 per week
